The Virginia Beach Library Foundation is proud to have supported this year’s Celebrating Children event, a signature Virginia Beach GrowSmart event that celebrates National Child Abuse Prevention Month. This amazing community event was done in collaboration with Virginia Beach City Public Schools, Virginia Beach Health Department, Virginia Beach Public Library, and City of Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation Department. This year’s Celebrating Children brought over 3,700 community members from across Hampton Roads together.
As a long-standing champion of literacy, lifelong learning, and community engagement, the Foundation was honored to help make this signature event possible through sponsorship support and community partnerships. Celebrating Children provided families with opportunities to connect with local organizations, explore educational resources, participate in hands-on activities, and enjoy engaging experiences designed to inspire young minds and connect families.
A key component of this year’s success was the remarkable support received from sponsors and community partners. Through the collective generosity of local businesses, organizations, and individuals, more than $35,000 in sponsorship funding was secured to support the event and expand its impact throughout the community.
